The holidays and December mean only one thing-great local holiday craft beer from local brewers and Shorcraftbeer.com!

Evolution Craft Brewing Company

Secret Spot Alt Ale, 6.3% ABV and 40 IBU

This Evo craft beer comes out of hibernation for the winter and is described as having “a full toasty malt profile [that] is countered by generous additions of German hops. Well balanced but assertively hopped, this complex but approachable beer is ideal for shaking off the chill of winter.” The beer gives props to “to the classic altbiers of Dusseldorf.”

Crooked Hammock

While they don’t have a local holiday craft beer specifically for December and the holidays, they do have one for the winter!

Lift Ticket, 7.7% ABV and 35 IBU

This selection is a golden stout, and Crooked Hammock brews it “with cacao nibs, coffee and vanilla for a deceptively dark flavor.” It’s a perfect beer to beat those winter blues while warming yourself up with its delicious flavor.

Fin City Brewing Company

Hazy Port, 6.0% ABV and 34 IBU

This offering from Fin City is a limited release but embodies the holidays in so many ways! Flavors that mingle and make for a great brew include dark chocolate, caramel, toasted hazlenut, roasted coffee, and oatmeal. This local holiday craft beer is another great choice to keep you warm during the cold winter days and nights.

Backshore Brewing

Shoot the Glass! (Doppelbock), 8.2% ABV and 21 IBU

A self-described ode to the great Christmas movie “Die Hard,” this beer is a “traditional German high alcohol lager with strong malty flavors.” In German, the words for this beer are Schieß dem Fenster (Shoot the Glass!).

Big Oyster Brewery

Cranberry Deamsicle (Hazy IPA), 7.0% ABV

This seasonal craft beer offering is “hopped up” mosaic, citra and sabro. The beer itself is brewed with cranberries and vanilla-yum! It makes for a great holiday IPA from Big Oyster.

Tall Tales Brewing Company

Cranberry Dreams, 7.0% ABV, No IBU

A nice, sour beer with a popping cran-raspberry flavor that is sure to evoke feelings of holiday cheer!

Brick Works Brewing and Eats

Pumpkin/Yam Beer, 7.3% ABV, 21 IBU

Burley Oak

Winter Punch, 5% ABV and 6 IBU

This one is a Gose-conditioned beer with flavors of cranberry, plum, and pink Himalayan sea salt.
