Chock full of libations, live music, limited-edition merchandise and more, 302 Day has something for every Delawarean to enjoy

MILTON, Del. (Feb. 6, 2025) – For the fourth consecutive year, Dogfish Head and 302 Horseshoe Crab will host the Official 302 Day event at Dogfish Head’s Milton Brewery on Saturday, March 1, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Recognized as Southern Delaware Tourism’s “2022 Best Event,” 302 day is a free public event featuring local eats and drinks, live music, raffles and giveaways, and boatloads of 302 Horseshoe Crab merchandise. The 302

Horseshoe Crab team will host their annual sale onsite, as well as debut a series of limited-edition Dogfish Head x 302 Horseshoe Crab items.

But that’s not all … 302 Day wouldn’t be complete without the annual release of Dogfish Head’s iconic, Delaware-centric beer, 302 Lager! Brewed in collaboration with 302 Horseshoe Crab, Dogfish Head’s 302 Lager is an American lager brewed with thoughtfully sourced two-row barley malt, heirloom variety corn and Sauvignon Blanc grape must. Bursting with bright, inviting aromas of honeysuckle, sweet grits, grapefruit and passion fruit, it is the pinnacle of Delaware pride. 302 Lager will be available for onsite consumption at the festival, as well as to go in 4pk/16oz cans. Priced at $7 per pint and $16 per 4pk. “302 Day is a true celebration of all things Delaware— bringing together great people, great beer, and great local businesses to celebrate the state we love. This year, I’m especially excited for the new artwork items Kam Productions will unveiling on 302 Day centered around the coastal beauty of Cape Henlopen State Park.”, said Dogfish Head Founder & Brewer, Sam Calagione. “It’s always a joy to gather with the local community that has supported both our brands, share in the festivities, and raise a glass in honor of the First State.”

New to this year’s event, Dogfish Head welcomes University of Delaware’s beloved YoUDee Blue Hen mascot, to lead folks in a series of field games from 1-2 p.m. Beer lovers and Blue Hen fans alike will battle to win prizes in games like, “Hula Hoop Off,” “Blue Hen’s Three-Legged Hustle,” “Run a Play with the Fighting Blue Hens,” and more.

Other festivities will include tasty eats from a lengthy lineup of local food trucks, face painting by CopyCat, live music by Homestead Bluegrass from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., live band karaoke with The Nick Kashmanian Trio from 2-4 p.m., a live horseshoe crab touch tank with Delaware State Parks, and a live auction for two low digit black surf tags, #2025 and #1001.
The black surf tag auctions begin at 1:30 p.m., sharp … don’t be late! Proceeds to benefit Delaware State Parks.

“302 Day has become a tradition we look forward to every year. It’s a chance to connect with our community, celebrate local partnerships, and welcome the warm weather ahead. We can’t wait to raise a glass, share some laughs, and make new memories with everyone who calls Delaware home,” said Keith Mosher, Co-Founder of 302 Horseshoe Crab.
