Not only is OCtoberfest the biggest annual craft beer festival in Ocean City, but it’s also the one that’s most kid- and pet-friendly. In our preparations for the 2018 OCtoberfest on Oct. 27, we stumbled across a photo album from last year’s event — and what stands out the most, aside from the day’s beautiful weather (knock on wood for this year!), all the beer flowing and the happy faces, is the dogs of OCtoberfest.
Only a handful of humans came in costume (shoutout to the OC Screams zombies), but it takes an especially festive pet to come out in a lion’s mane or to don the beer fest shirt. To get you in the spirit of the season, Halloween and OCtoberfest, here’s a little celebration of the 2017 festival dogs.
Be sure to bring your pets, your kids and all your family and friends to the 2018 beer festival, set in downtown Ocean City’s Sunset Park overlooking the picturesque Assawoman Bay. Johnny Bling will provide the live music; Rosenfeld’s Jewish Deli, The Street Kitchen, Delmarva Boil Company and Mother’s Cantina will be there with their food trucks; vendors will be selling creative crafts, cookies, and creations; and all your favorite Delmarva breweries will be on site with tons of seasonal craft brews. If you’re coming from out of town, hotel packages are available from five of Ocean City’s top hotels.
