Dogfish Head hosts fall festival featuring local libations, vendors, food, music and more, as well as the launch of two new limited-edition collaborations with Burnish Beer Co. and Fifer Orchards.

MILTON, DEL. (SEPT. 18, 2023) – On Saturday, Oct. 14, Dogfish Head’s Milton Tasting Room & Kitchen will host Punkin Ale Fest, a fall festival inspired by the brewery’s iconic Punkin Ale, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. At this free, outdoor community event, folks can enjoy a variety of food trucks, vendors, art, live music and live band karaoke, as well as a new limited-edition fall beer brewed in collaboration with Salisbury-based craft brewery, Burnish Beer Co., and a special spirit release created in partnership withFifer Orchards.

“For nearly three decades, I’ve looked forward to cracking open a Punkin Ale as soon as the weather cools down,” said Sam Calagione, Dogfish Head Founder & Brewer. “This year, I’m even more excited to get to do that at Punkin Ale Fest with our local community, while also seeing what folks think of our two new collaborations with awesome Delmarva native brands.”

Dogfish Head and Burnish Beer Co. are teaming up to celebrate Delmarva farmers and their unique local harvests with Nashí Ragā (5% ABV), a festive rice lager brewed with ginger, cinnamon and Asian pears from Westover, Maryland. The perfect pint to enjoy at Punkin Ale Fest, this crisp beer delicately balances complex, sweet fruit with the warmth of cinnamon and ginger spice.

And if you’re interested in a more spirited beverage, Dogfish Head is bottling its own twist on the classic Mint Julep cocktail, the staple drink of the Kentucky Derby. This Delaware-centric version, Delatucky Julep (25% ABV), blends whiskey, mint and agave syrup with the subtle sweetness of Delaware-grown peaches and peach juice fromFifer Orchards. A ready-to-pour bottled cocktail, it is best served over ice and garnished with fresh mint.

For folks that just can’t wait until Punkin Ale Fest, both Nashí Ragā and Delatucky Julep will be available starting Friday, Oct. 13, at Dogfish Head’s Milton and Rehoboth locations. While supplies last, Nashí Ragā will be available on draft and in 4pk/16oz cans, and Delatucky Julep will hit shelves in 750ml bottles. Priced at $17 per 4pk and $30 per 750ml bottle, respectively.

What’s a Dogfish event without dogs? A portion of the proceeds from this year’s Punkin Ale Fest will benefit the Brandywine Valley SPCA as part of Dogfish Head’s Beer & Benevolence program. The nonprofit will be on-site at Punkin Ale Fest with some adoptable canine friends. Those looking to support the non-profit can also bring their dogs and/or family over to the donation-based fall-inspired photo booth benefiting the organization from 1-2 p.m.
