Pumpkin spice may have lost some of its panache for 2023, but pumpkin beers, stouts and Oktoberfest beers have not. This autumn’s most exciting weekend is October 28th where you can satisfy all your fall beer cravings at the 9th annual OCtoberfest in Ocean City, Maryland. The festival is on Saturday from 1 – 5, but you can take advantage of our beercation packages to make a weekend of it. Hotel packages will include 2 tickets to the festival. We will have links to these packages up soon.
Held annually on one of the last Saturdays of October in Ocean City’s scenic Sunset Park, OCtoberfest is a celebration of great local craft beer (more than 30 to taste from the Shore and beyond!), some non-beer alternatives brewed in Maryland; delicious food from local food trucks; shopping with local and regional vendors and fun times with family and friends. Live music will be provided by the Dune Hounds. Dogs, kids and non-drinkers are welcome, too! You can buy tickets here.

Save Money by Buying your Tickets Early
Join us as a VIP and you will get a commemorative t-shirt, pint glass, and an extra hour of beer-drinking with the brewery representatives. VIPs come at 1 and can enjoy 4 hours of unlimited samples of 30+ local and regional craft beers. General Admission ticket holders will enter the festival at 2 and everybody will enjoy the live music, vendors, and the water views until 5. VIP tickets will be $65 at the door and GA tickets will be $40. However, you can SAVE $10 ON either ticket if you purchase them ONLINE in July. The discounts diminish as we get closer to the event weekend.
July: Save $10 per ticket on VIP and GA tickets
August: Save $5 per ticket on VIP admissions and $10 per ticket on GA admissions
September: Save $5 on GA admissions.
Designated driver tickets are available for $10 per person. These tickets must be purchased with a regular ticketed admission.

Shore Craft Beer App and Other Info:
Shore Craft Beer is putting information on the breweries and the beers featured during the festival on the Shore Craft Beer App that was funded by the Rural Maryland Council.
Seasonal favorites will be in good supply, from pumpkin beers to Oktoberfest and Marzens, to stouts and porters. We are also offering a variety of IPAs, wheat beers, and pilsners too.
For those who prefer other options to local craft beer, we will have hard seltzers, Hoop Tea and possibly meads.
Unlimited samples throughout the festival
A ticketed festival goer will get unlimited 4 ounce pours throughout the festival. That includes the hard seltzers, meads, and the Hoop Tea. There will be breweries or trucks set up in Sunset Park and on the property just to the south where there is a dock and plenty of water to watch as you enjoy your brews overlooking the bay.
Shopping, Food (including jerky), Music & Games
The Dune Hounds, a locally popular band will join us for the first time to provide the live entertainment and there will be vendors set up for your shopping entertainment. We will announce the vendors shortly.
Tickets on sale now
The general admission gate will open at 2 p.m. and run until 5 pm. A special VIP admission is available for those wanting an extra hour of tasting craft beer plus a t-shirt to commemorate the day! Entrance for VIPs starts at 1 pm and includes time to talk to the local brewers and start sampling a little earlier. Commemorative glasses for the first 1200 at the gate! Buy your tickets now as the VIPs will be sold out by this weekend. There will be General Admission tickets available at the gate and online.
Limited Tickets for Craft Beer Cruises during the event available
As with previous Octoberfest Shore Craft Beer Fests, the OC Bay Hopper is joining Shore Craft Beer to offer Shore Craft Beer cruises during the festival. There will be a departure every half hour starting at 1:30 pm with the last cruise leaving at 4:30 pm. There are only 15 people allowed on each cruise so please buy your tickets early as we anticipate that these cruises will sell out. You will get a full beer on the cruise that is not available at the festival. If any seats are available during the festival, tickets can be obtained at the front check-in table or on the dock.

General admission tickets are $40 and VIP tickets are $65. The discounts described above are based on when you buy your tickets, so please GET THEM EARLY to save $10/ticket. If you buy a beercation, your tickets will already be discounted as part of the package. Designated Driver tickets are available for $10 regardless of when you buy them this year. Water and soda is free to DD ticket holders.
