[podcast] In this week’s State of the Beer podcast we speak with Jason Weissberg, brewer at Assawoman Bay Brewing Company about the process of getting the beer into bottles, plans for the future and some upcoming beer festivals. The audio is better than it has been and (as you might have noticed at the beginning of the paragraph) we’ve found a name for the sub Podcast.

New Shore Craft Beer Releases this week

We have lots of friends bringing out new beers, or at least seasonal beers. Fordham and Dominion, for example:

It’s the same beer, but the label is redesigned. We actually spoke with Ryan Telle about that on a recent episode.

Delmar’s own 3rd Wave also has a seasonal coming out, the Shoreline Honey Ginger Cream Ale will be out tomorrow, and I will be there before the night is over, it is one of my wife’s favorite beers on the planet.

And of course, you know it is spring with the Spring Migration release from Evo is coming out. This is another process I wrote about. They make the same beer every year, but use different barrels to change the character. Buy three.

Events

It’s getting busier and busier as the weather gets closer to breaking. Some highlights (and a gentle reminder):

Seacrets is having a 12 Pack of Local beer festival and we have ticket giveaways for people who like our Facebook and Twitter pages.

This weekend, lots of our friends will be serving beer at Gary’s…

And, finally, Backshore Brewing is sponsoring the beer at this week’s Race for the Cure in Ocean City.
