DELMARVA BIKE WEEK BEER GARDEN BEER LIST
3rd Wave Brewing Co

Shorebreak Pale Ale – Our take on the classic American Pale Ale. A crisp, clean, light bodies brew with low hop bitterness. Brewed with American 2-row barley malt and Cascade hops. Super drinkable and refreshing. The name stems from our love of the beach and waves crashing on the shore. ABV %: 5.1 – 5.3, IBU’s: 31 – 33, TYPE: Pale Ale. Food Pairings – Chicken and seafood, especially steamed crabs!

1st Wave IPA – Our American style IPA has a deep golden color and a great hop bitterness balanced with a malty sweetness. Brewed with American 2-row barley, Warrior, Northern Brewer and Cascade hops. The name stems from this being the first IPA beer we attempted. ABV %: 6.1 – 6.3, IBU’s: 62 – 64, TYPE: IPA. Food Pairings – Pizza, burgers, wings and BBQ

Sundancer – Initially brewed for our 1st Anniversary celebration. This refreshing Belgian Ale has a beautiful light color with nice citrusy aromas and flavor. Brewed with lots of Pilsner and wheat malts, and hopped with tons of Cascade, Centennial and Citra hops. To round it all out we added coriander and bitter orange peel. ABV %: 6.3 – 6.5, IBU’s: 57 – 59, TYPE: IPA. Food Pairings – Fresh fish, seafood and fruit salads.

Big Reef Porter – A dark, smooth medium bodied brown porter. This brew balances nicely chocolate, Blackprinz and special roast malts and a slightly caramelized finish. Mildly hopped with Chinook and Willamette hops.  ABV %: 5.4 – 5.6, IBU’s: 30 – 32, TYPE: Porter. Food Pairings – Chocolate desserts, smoked meats and cheeses.

mispillion

Not Today Satan – Not Today Satan is 7.3% ABV and brewed with El Dorado, Centennial, and Mosaic hops, giving it earthy and tropical notes. A medium body stands up against 55 IBUs and provides the canvas for collaboration of hops.

Space Otter – American Pale Ale.

Lot 3 – This American-style IPA is aggressively hopped at a rate of over 2 lb. per barrel. Big notes of citrus and pine complement a reserved but firm malt backbone.Pairs well with Indian food, jerk, Cajun, burgers and spicy seafood.  ABV 6.8% • IBU 65

Jacques Au Lantern – Our fall seasonal is an unfiltered amber ale brewed with pumpkin and spices, and fermented with a Belgian yeast strain. Namaste

A witbier bursting with good karma. Made with dried organic orange slices, fresh-cut lemongrass and a bit of coriander, this Belgian-style white beer is a great thirst quencher.  Namaste was originally brewed at our pub in Rehoboth Beach with our Italian friend Leo. It was a tribute to our friends at 3 Fonteinen brewery in Belgium, who had devastating production loss (1/3 of their annual production) in 2009.

Punkin Ale

A full-bodied brown ale with smooth hints of pumpkin and brown sugar. We brew our Punkin Ale with pumpkin meat, brown sugar and spices. As the season cools, this is the perfect beer to warm up with.  Punkin Ale is named after the seriously off-centered southern Delaware extravaganza Punkin Chunkin.  In fact, Punkin Ale made its debut as it claimed first prize in the 1994 Punkin Chunkin Recipe Contest. Yes, that was a full 6 months before we even opened our doors for business!  Punkin Chunkin has grown in size and scale, with pumpkins now being hurled more than 4,000 feet through the air! If you come down to see if for yourself, drop by and visit us.  Since its debut, we’ve brewed Punkin Ale each and every fall. It is released right around Sept. 1 each year. When you find it, grab some extra because it’s usually gone by Thanksgiving.

60 Min IPA

60 Minute IPA is continuously hopped — more than 60 hop additions over a 60-minute boil. (Getting a vibe of where the name came from?)  60 Minute is brewed with a slew of great Northwest hops. A powerful but balanced East Coast IPA with a lot of citrusy hop character, it’s the session beer for hardcore enthusiasts!

fin-city

Angler Ale – this ale pours and tastes like a lager, light and refreshing, this ale is brewed with Noble Saaz hops. It has a smooth, soft mouth feel and pairs well with just about everything.

Sneaky Wheat – This tasty American wheat pours a hazy golden-orange with a lively white head and a subtle orange aroma and flavor with hints of coriander and orange peel for a slight tartness. Smooth with a light to medium body. The grist mill contains a bit of caramel malt giving this beer a slightly sweet character and is balanced with a perfect amount of East Kent golding hops. This is a great outdoor summer beer, but not limited to that setting.

White Marlin – this is our interpretation of true American style pale ale. It has an amber color and a smooth, full-flavored taste with a crisp finish. We brew this exceptional ale with pale caramel and wheat malts and aggressively hop with a blend of 3 hop varieties in 3 separate additions providing a clean bitterness. This is a great beer for any time of the year.

oc-brewing

Nuckin  Futs – This English Brown Ale has a rich nutty flavor, sweetened with fresh local honey, and balanced with a spicy hop note. It’s very smooth and enjoyable. “You gotta be Nuckin’ Futs not to try it!” ABV: 6%

Already Then Watermelon – “Alrightly Then” is fresh off the farm. This wheat beer is infused with sweet luscious watermelons. It’s crisp and refreshing with little to no hoppiness with a light malt flavor that allows the melon to shine through. A true taste to summer! ABV: 4.5%

rubber-soul

Highwheel IPA

Two-row, Cara Amber and Cara Foam round out this earthy IPA. But the Centennial hops really put this floral brew over the top with flavor. Like the famous Penny Farthing and other high wheel bikes, this beer will turn heads.

ELDO Amber Ale

We call this the Cadillac of ambers. No amber has quite taken the El Dorado hop for a spin like this. Drink this single hopper slow and low to keep your tempo.

Pace Line

We give “catching a draft” a whole new meaning with this citrusy session swiller. Like a smooth moving line of riders this session IPA sets the pace to get you where you’re going.

Read Headed Step Child

A dark red Irish red with roasty overtones and a subtle fruity finish.  This Ale has a surprisingly sweeter profile considering the darker color.  Our most popular brew!

Midnight Pumpkin

ABV:6.2%

IBU:20

Light Pumpkin Ale with a white head and soft orange color. We use real pumpkin along with pumpkin pie spices to produce the delicate pumpkin pie flavor lightly hopped with sterling hops. Available seasonally.

RAR Image

Groove City  – This German Style Hefeweizen is a throwback in homage of Cambridge’s most lasting nickname. Golden-yellow and hazy in appearance, this brew is a combination of American and German ingredients. Complex yet subtle, a faint sweetness immediately hits your palate followed by a distinctive wheat note. Notes of banana and clove are detected on the finish (like Blue Moon) –

Nanticoke Nectar – Our flagship brew, and a year round offering in kegs and cans, Nanticoke Nectar starts with citrus notes that progress into bold grapefruit and pine, then finishes clean with a balanced, hoppy bitterness. A subtle yet deep English malt profile elevates the hop notes while a slight sweetness underlines the brew.

Fordham & Dominion Image

Gypsy Lager – This Munich-Style Helles Lager is brewed in the tradition of great German Lagers. Munich and Vienna malts provide a honeyed backbone that is contrasted with the clean bitterness of Perle Hops. The result is a crisp and refreshing beer. 5.0% alc/vol, 18 IBUs, Vienna, Munich, CaraFoam Malts, Perle, Tradition Hops, Pairs with Salads, mild cheeses, and blueberry trifle, Serve in a pint glass, flute, or pilsner at 40-45º F

BLUE EARL IMAGE

I can’t Quit You (Ofest) – In 1810, the Oktoberfest tradition was born when Munich celebrated the crown prince’s wedding with a special beer and 16 day party. This classic style blends hearty malts for a deep, smooth flavor,  with notes of caramel creating a brew that’s perfect for the season, or whatever you ‘re celebrating.

When Doves Cry – Vienna-Style Amber Lager –  “When Doves Cry” is a song by American musician Prince, and the lead single from his 1984 album Purple Rain.  Amber in color with a very smooth and delicious profile. Soft elegant malt complexity exhibiting a beady and toasty character with a supportive hop character. This beer style was developed by Anton Dreher in Vienna in 1841, becoming popular in the mid-late 1800s.  Prost!  Grains:  Pilsner, Vienna, Munich and Specialty Malts.  Hops:  Northern Brewer and Hallertau  Notes:  Fresh Baked Bread, Toast, hint of caramel. OG = 12.3  IBU = 23  ABV = 4.7%

Sussex County Mule – ABV 5.1% Blonde ale fermented with ginger and lime zest.

Mamajuana Brown Ale – Brewed with a blend of brown coffee malt, aromatic malt, and Caramunich, we rounded this beer out with lactose for a nice sweeter finish then aged it on Mamajuana wood that our brew master brought back from the Dominican Republic.  Mamajuana is known in the Dominican as an aphrodisiac and also to have healing properties. ABV:4.4.%, IBU:23, SRM: 22
