Fin City Brewing Company is Ocean City’s oldest brewery located right on the bay. All of our beers are dedicated to the fishing industry that made Ocean City what it is today. We celebrate that heritage by creating handmade, balanced beers that are as unique as the species of fish around us. Our White Marlin Pale Ale put us on the map just like it’s namesake did for our sportfishing industry back in the 1930’s. Our Jackspot Amber is a deliciously approachable amber ale that is as accessible as the the Jackspot reef that lies only 21 miles off the coast. We continually brew and experiment with new beers at the brewpub where you to come try them before we release them into the region. After that you can find out where to purchase a pint or a package at FinCityBrewing.com on the Fin Finder. Cheers to good times and tight lines!

Our Beers
Poor Man’s IPA
A golden IPA that’s complexity is due to four separate additions of 6 hop varieties. It’s floral beginning is complimented by intense tropical and citrus aromas achieved by dry hopping with the finest hops from the west coast.
Angler Ale
This ale pours and tastes like a lager. Light and refreshing, this ale is brewed with Noble Saaz hops. It has a smooth, soft mouth feel and pairs well with just about everything.
Sneaky Wheat
American Wheat Beer- Pours a hazy golden-orange with a lively white head and a subtle orange aroma and flavor with hints of coriander and orange peel for a slight tartness. Smooth with a light to medium body. The grist mill contains a bit of caramel malt giving this beer a slightly sweet character and is balanced with a perfect amount of East Kent Golding hops. This is a great outdoor summer beer, but not limited to that setting.
Jackspot Amber Ale
A medium bodied American amber ale. 6-varieties of malts lend to the biscuit and toasty flavor with a hint of caramel. Well balanced and moderately hopped with Fuggle hops accenting the rich flavors of this tasty well-rounded ale. This brew is named after the Jackspot Reef. Named after Jack Townsend, the Jackspot is one of the most famous sport fishing spots in the world. It was the Jackspot that lured anglers from all over the world for world class sport fishing and enabled Ocean City to lay claim to the title “White Marlin Capital of the World.”
White Marlin Pale Ale
Interpretation of a true American-style pale ale. It has an amber color and a smooth, full-flavored taste with a crisp finish. We brew this exceptional ale with pale, caramel, and wheat malts and aggressively-hop with a blend of 3 hop varieties in 3 separate additions providing a clean bitterness.
Blackfin Black IPA
A full bodied black I.P.A. brewed with pale and mild roasted malts and a citrus hop blend. A well balanced roasty-sweet backbone and a smooth finish with a floral, citric hoppiness.
Radio Rye IPA
The Radio Rye IPA is a brilliantly hopped beer for those who still enjoy a complex malt backbone. The malts provide a warm, crusty spice with German roots balanced with a touch of honey and toffee notes. We round it out with a delicious blend of hops that add a bit more spice and tangerine to the finish. Most beers force you to choose between a hoppy or a malty flavor profile…we just gave you both.
Double Huk Double IPA
Our most aggressively hopped beer is crammed full of Centennial hops for a bright citrus delight. This deep golden ale is finished with dry additions of fresh earthy hops over the course of many days to leave you with a richness and complexity you won’t find in any other 2xIPA…
Weedline E-Z IPA
Our session IPA is a sublime pairing of a relaxed ABV with a nice high IBU to enjoy all day with your buds. We used a top secret blend of the dopest hops we could find in the joint and threw most of them in the pot after the boil to make the aromas very blunt. A nice grassy, herbal nose perfectly compliments the light cracker body of this day drinker…
Backfin Blue Crab Stout
We’ve brewed a lot of different beers as Ocean City’s oldest brewery, but this beer is extra special for us. For centuries people have been brewing stouts with oysters to promote clarity and enhance the beer’s sweet & roasty characteristics with the natural salinity of the oyster. We have now brewed the first known stout using live blue crabs in the boil to create one of the most unique beers in the world. Just like bakers use salt to bring out the sweetness in their desserts, the crabs and spice cause the toffee and chocolate notes to come to life in this beautiful stout. This is a beer that could only have been painstakingly handcrafted in our homemade microbrewery, located in the heart of an old crab house. WARNING: Contains Shellfish!
Hazy Port
This limited release is everything you love about those holiday indulgences in a glass. Let your pint sit for a minute and all of the robust flavors will come to life…dark chocolate, roasted coffee, caramel, toasted hazelnut and oatmeal. This one can be enjoyed anytime from breakfast until that fireside nightcap.
OC Reef Red IPA
The OC Reef Red IPA was brewed as a tribute to the conservation, and addition, of reefs off the shore of Ocean City, MD. They create a stable ecosystem that serves as both food and habitat for all forms of marine life. This in turn provides a sustainable sportfishing industry that supports our local community and economy. Fin City will be donating a large portion of the proceeds from this red IPA to the Ocean City Reef Foundation. The beer itself is as beautiful and unique as the coral reefs it will help create…bright & herbal with hints of marmalade and apricot.
Marina Colada
Marina Colada is the perfect beer to start sipping as the weather turns warm. In contrast to most wheat beers, we use white wheat malt to pair more delicately with the beautifully light flavors of toasted coconut and ripe pineapple. We round it out with just the right amount of hops to give it the hint of citrus & spice you love in a fresh wheat beer.
Catch of the Day IPA
This is the freshest possible IPA you can drink, brewed in very small batches and usually served straight from the bright tank. The recipe, alcohol and IBU varies with the fresh, locally sourced ingredients we source for each unique batch.
Marga-Wheat-A
This summer wheat ale is camouflaged cocktail. We brewed a light, refreshing American wheat with all of the flavor characteristics of the classic margarita. It is a mildly hopped with a beautiful haze from all of the citrus present. A smooth lime presence is perfectly balanced by the subtle sweetness of orange and agave notes. Best served in a chilled glass with a salted rim…¡Salud!
Captain Jack’s Pumpkin Ale
This our award-winning brown ale made with tons of real pumpkin, brown sugar, molasses and our special blend of pumpkin pie spices. As seen on Discovery Channel’s Brew Masters television series. Our tastiest beer but also our strongest…Trick or Treat!
Bucktail Brown Ale
This is our interpretation of a classic American brown ale. It is a medium-bodied beer with a slightly roasty, slightly sweet maltiness that gives it a natural nutty flavor profile. Four types of hops add a spiciness and notes of smooth orange citrus to perfectly balance this fall season release.
Capitano’s Winter Stout
Our winter stout is named after the brewmaster’s great grandfather who brewed this recipe during prohibition. Unlike sweeter milk or oatmeal stouts, ours is a dry stout with a great body and robust coffee notes. It’s made with English style hops from Oregon that lend a fragrant wood-like aroma.
Bad Luck Banana
This robust porter is a malt bomb that makes other porters blush. We mash seven types of dark, caramel, chocolaty malts with fresh bananas to provide a smooth backbone to this winter treat. To keep this ale a traditional porter, we balance it with a fair amount of english hops to round it out and add depth. While bananas on a boat might hurt your chances of catching fish, bad luck banana will definitely help your chances of catching a buzz…
Bimini Key
Bimini Key is the perfect warm weather beverage inspired by the great beers of the Bahamas. To enhance this mildly hopped summer sipper even more, we infused it with key limes to add a smoother, sweeter citrus taste to the already soft mouth feel. As all of our beers are dedicated to the local fishing community, this one was made to capture the essence of Ocean City based boat builders, Bimini Marine.
Pomegranate Wheat
We converted our classic wheat recipe into a truly one of a kind summer offering. By subtracting some of the spice and adding the sweet & tart flavor profile of our favorite super fruit, you get a uniquely complex beer made for hot summer nights. The natural fruit juices give a slight rosy hue to this beautifully hazy, medium-bodied ale.
Secret RUMpkin Ale
For the brewpub’s 5th anniversary of brewing our award winning pumpkin beer, we decided to do something extra special. First, we took medium toasted American oak chips which offer naturally delicious, smoky vanilla flavors. Then, we aged them in Seacrets Distilling Company’s Spiced Rum which adds even more of the delicious blackstrap molasses and spice that you love in our pumpkin beer. Finally, we added it all together to create a truly special union of Ocean City’s oldest brewery and oldest distillery.
Cranberry IPA
This unique offering was brewed to bridge the gap between the amber beers of autumn and the hearty, dark winter warmers. This bright IPA has beautiful tangerine notes that perfectly compliment the slightly sweet, slightly tart cranberry. This is the ideal brew for Thanksgiving, Christmas and everything in between.
