Don’t get me wrong, we love getting and sharing these stories, but this does happen to be a contest about local craft beer. This week, we didn’t get a ton of that, but people were enthusiastic in their love for Ocean City, which always is nice to hear.
The contest is open just a few more days, you can share your craft beer love story here.
Toni Wesley: Best entry of the weekend
Kimberly Laughman: Looking for a comeback
My husband and I always came to OCMD with my parents and children over the past 30 years. My perfectly healthy husband was the heart of our family and still is. However, on Dec. 8, 2011 our lives were forever changed. He suffered a massive stroke, sleeping beside me. If I wouldn’t have woken up, the doctors at Hershey Medical Center told me he would have died. Through out the continuous rehabilitation, brain surgery, I still have him, but totally disabled. To say it has been terrible for him, is the easy part. My part now is a total care-givier, and sole support of our family. But I thank God everyday that he spared my dear husband. We still travel to OCMD every summer, but with my son and his family since I need help. Thank you for considering us as a candidate. WE LOVE OCMD!!

Jil French: The Other Real Thing
My aunt and my aunt and uncle uncle owned cottages across the street from Harrington Arms motel. We would go every summer so Aunt Bea and Uncle Alvin could come home to Baltimore to take care of their house, they were school teachers. It was the best of times. I got my first coke in a can in Ocean City. I brought it home to show my friends.
